Ludlow Taylor Elementary School

Washington, DC

Renderings showing a modern school building featuring brick and green space.
Ludlow-Taylor is growing school that has seen increased buy-in from neighborhood families, in part due to the fantastic staff and school leadership along with the strength of Stuart Hobson Middle School. Ashley McGraw designed an 8,800 SF addition to provide a critical release valve for the school that has been finding creative solutions to find adequate space for its 433 students. The addition will include four K-1 classrooms, as well as resource rooms and associated support spaces. Our expected substantial completion date is July 2025. The $8 million addition requires critical planning to ensure that the ideal learning environment we create also respects the existing context, and does not interfere with the existing needs of the school.
